Licensed by the state of Oklahoma, Brush Creek serves boys ages 13-18 years who are encountering struggles with families, school and / or their community.

The problems may be a result of  trauma, abuse or rebellion. Some of the symptoms of these problems might include:

Although each resident is assessed on an individual need, the average length of stay is one to two years.

 BCYR Mission...

The Mission of Teen Challenge is to provide youth, adults and families an effective and comprehensive faith-based prevention or solution to drug and alcohol addiction and other life controlling  problems.  

Our objectives are to enable students to find freedom from problematic behavior, and to become   socially and emotionally healthy, physically well and spiritually alive.   With committed staff,  effective programs and vocational/life skills  experience training, Teen Challenge endeavors to produce graduates who function responsibly and productively in civil society, and who have healthy relationships in the work place, family, church and   community.

Our committed staff is experienced and well trained in a variety of areas to help meet the needs of the young men at Brush Creek Youth Ranch. This is another reason for the wide spread success of all of Oklahoma Teen Challenge programs.

 Proverbs 22:6 says, "Teach a child to choose the right path, and when he is older, he will remain upon it."  (TLB)

Our staff is filled with purpose to instill this biblical principal into all the young men that come across their path until it becomes 2nd nature to them. We believe that the dynamic Word of God will produce dynamic results in these young men. Our proven track record speaks for itself.

S.A.V.E.D....

Five areas are addressed in our BCYR program:

SPIRITUAL:

There is a new and recent national awareness that the Faith-based approach of Teen Challenge dealing with life controlling issues brings true change. Biblically sound methods play an integral part of the program at Brush Creek Youth Ranch. Church attendance is required and frequent individual and group sessions deal with current issues from a

biblical perspective.

ACTIVITY:

A variety of  recreational activities include: Volleyball, softball, basketball, walking and swimming are available to the boys at Brush Creek.

VOCATIONAL / LIFE SKILLS:

This program teaches students a solid Christian work ethic that will give them a foundation of responsibility, positive attitudes and  integrity in how a job is done when they return to the work force. Functional and productive vocational skills are taught that a student can put into practice upon completion.

EMOTIONAL:

A loving and dedicated staff are available for the boys while emotions heal. As Situations arise, the staff is equipped to provide necessary guidance as needed. The boys also receive Pastoral counseling.

DIDACTIC / EDUCATIONAL:

As an integral part of one’s self, every effort is made with each boy to assist his educational needs.

Alternative schooling is  provided. Nightly study hall and tutoring aid the boys in achieving their educational goals.
